How To Save Game Rdr2 With Cheats
Cheat codes are phrases that unlock special buffs in Red Dead Redemption 2. In order to use them, you’ll need to type the phrase in the appropriate place. Once activated, the cheat will disable saving and trophy unlocking. Some of them are available from the start, but some need to be unlocked before you can use them. This guide is going to tell you all you need to know about Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat codes.
Where to enter cheat codes?
RDR2 Save Data Location. In my environment, RDR2’s save data location is the following.Since I purchased RDR2 directly from the Rockstar store, my RDR2 launcher is the launcher is Rockstar Games Launcher, so it looks like this, but if you purchased it from another site, the storage destination may be different. In the Settings menu, you need to press Triangle/Y to enter the Cheat Menu. In the RDR2 Cheat Menu, you can see a list of the cheats you’ve unlocked so far and turn them off or on.
In order to use cheats, pause the game and go to the settings menu. Once you’re there, press triangle on PS4 (Y on Xbox) to open the cheat menu. You’ll get a list of available cheats with toggles that let you turn them on. If you press triangle (Y) again, you’ll be able to enter new cheat codes, provided you know the phrases that unlock them. Once you’ve activated a cheat, it will provide you with some sort of advantage – infinite ammo, revealing the entire map, refilling your health and more. It will also stop you from unlocking achievements – make sure you always save your progress before activating a cheat, so as not to taint your save file.
How to unlock cheats in RDR 2?
Type in the cheat phrase below to unlock it; save the game to have it added permanently to the cheat menu. Once added, it can be toggled on and off. Cheats that are linked to a newspaper require the player to have that particular edition in their inventory in order to successfully input the code. Just use whatever cheats you want, then complete the 2nd mission of chapter 4 (the one where you save johns son). Then you should be able to save again when everyone is singing by the campfire. You might have to reload first. You wont be able to use cheats again unless Rockstar stops being dumb, but at least you can stock up. You may not save during missions or cutscenes, or while interacting with other NPCs. You are allotted 15 save slots to do with as you please.
You can unlock some cheats by simply typing up the required phrase in the cheat unlock window. However, there are some that require you to get a particular newspaper edition before you can unlock them. The newspapers will have the cheats printed out, subtly separated from the rest of the text. You’ll need to have the relevant edition in your inventory in order to unlock the cheat.
